Sindri and I created this track for a theater play, we called it Introduction as it was played in the beginning. We incorporated drums played by Birgir Baldursson, that we initially recorded for another track I had composed (yet to be released). We took great care to produce the bassdrum sound, and we gave it a lot of space in the lower frequencies as the bass guitar only joins in the climax, while the guitar, piano and our voices float above in the higher frequencies. Maniacs of Noise / Jeroen Tel commented on this track on Soundcloud, saying: "The best thing about this song is the bassdrum (that's not meant as an insult, it truly stands out!). :-)".
When I decided to share this track with the world, I opted for a distinct track artwork unrelated to the play. The artwork chosen was Indíánahöfuðið, a sculpture created by my oldest brother, Jónas. This potent piece holds immense sentimental value as a treasured family artifact, representing a Native American figure. Listening to the track, I envision a captivating tale of the clash of cultures, where the old meets the new, the past intertwines with the present, and the native converges with the foreign.
A partnership with my friend Sindri Bergmann Thorarinsson. Some of our music is under Tribe Of Oranges.
